Broadway Kids in The County Theatre Company Online Catalog!

The students will learn the basics of directing and how to make a scene come to life. We will start by looking at some famous plays and the students will have to find their own creative way to best direct a scene that also includes their own flair of style in it. They will learn what it means to “make a picture” onstage and how to make the scene visually appealing to look at. We will also be focusing on how to work and communicate with actors without directly telling them how to act. For the showcase, the directing students will be collaborating with the playwriting students by picking which play they connect to and would like to direct. They will be directing the scene study students in these scenes.

Each class will be capped off at 8 students. If there is a big interest in one class, a second section might be added.

$125 for the semester. This covers all the classes offered in the Academy!

To register: 

1. Select your first class and pay selecting the payment plan ($25 a month for the first student). Complete this registration like normal.

2. To register for the second class - select the next class you want to attend and use the code BKA2NDCLASS - this will allow you to register without paying the tuition again

3. Repeat this step to register for the 3rd and 4th class using codes BKA3RDCLASS and BKA4THCLASS respectively

4. To register additional students after the full paying student, use code BKASIBLING and select the payment plan method again. This will add an additional $10 to your monthly fee per student.
